Over the past five years, more than one-third of all discrimination charges received by the EEOC include harassment, and in 2023 approximately 35% of EEOC lawsuits filed involved harassment allegations. Combatting harassment continues to be a key focus of the agency’s enforcement plan, emphasizing the critical need for employers to have effective risk management and compliance strategies.  

In this 60-minute webinar, Marc Scheiner and Kathryn Brown, attorneys with Duane Morris in Philadelphia, will share how HR professionals can take a multi-faceted approach to ensure compliance and effectively deal with harassment issues. They will also delve into the new EEOC guidance on harassment, providing an in-depth understanding of recent changes (such as remote work, pregnancy-related conditions and the Bostock decision) and best practices in mitigating harassment risks.

Kathryn Brown is an attorney with Duane Morris who practices employment law on behalf of employers. Ms. Brown also represents employers in litigation and administrative matters, including defense of charges filed with the EEOC. She is based in Columbus, Ohio and is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School.
